What geolith search logs, and what it never logs.

Search text is often a home address, so the server never writes it to the logs.

  • Spans and log lines record word counts, sizes and result counts, not words.
  • The request span records the path, not the query string.
  • Reverse geocoding points are not logged.
  • tokio_postgres, which logs SQL text, is held at info, so statements are not logged.
  • Database errors are logged without the SQL text.
